Most cleaning companies will not publish house cleaning prices, and there is a reason: the honest answer depends on the home. What we can do is tell you exactly what moves the number, so you can estimate your own before anyone visits. House cleaning cost is driven by four things: the total floor area, the number of bathrooms, how long it has been since the last professional clean, and whether the visit is one-time or recurring. A first visit in a home that has not been cleaned professionally in a year costs more than every visit after it, because it is more work, not because it is a trick. Recurring visits settle into a lower, stable price once the home is on a schedule. The estimate is free, the number is agreed before anything is scheduled, and it does not change unless the job changes.
Tell us about your home and we come back with a price and the checklist for your service.
More than the visits that follow it, and that is the part worth understanding before you compare quotes.
A first clean carries everything that built up before we arrived. In a home that has been kept up, a standard first visit is enough. In a home that has not been professionally cleaned in a long time, the first visit is a deep cleaning, and we say so at the quote rather than after.
A company that quotes you a low first visit without seeing the home is quoting a second visit and will ask for more on the day.
We quote house cleaning prices per visit, not per hour.
Per hour sounds transparent and works against you: it pays for time rather than for a finished checklist, and it means a slower cleaner costs you more. Per visit means the price is attached to a written list of what gets done, and the list is the same every time.
If a visit turns out to be smaller than expected, the price follows the job.
Weekly, every two weeks or monthly. House cleaning prices per visit drop as the frequency rises, because there is less to do each time.
Most homes in our area choose every two weeks. Weekly suits homes with kids, pets or both. Monthly works for smaller homes and for people who keep up with the day to day.
These are quoted separately, because they are different jobs rather than longer versions of the same one.
Deep cleaning is priced on the home and on how long it has been. Move out cleaning is priced on an empty home, which is faster per square foot but includes every interior. Post-construction cleaning is priced on the project, because the dust volume depends on what was built.
It comes up often enough to answer here: tipping is never expected and never built into our prices. Our team is paid for the work.
If you want to recognise a particular visit, a tip is welcome and goes to the people who were in your home that day. A review is worth more to a company our size.
You tell us the size of the home, the number of bathrooms and what you need. For most homes that is enough for a price.
For larger homes, first deep cleans and commercial spaces, we visit first. The visit is free and carries no obligation, and it is the only way to quote those honestly.
Because a published number for a service priced on the home is either wrong or padded to cover the worst case. What we publish instead is every factor that moves the price, so you can judge a quote, including ours.
Not always. In a home that has been kept up, the first visit is a standard visit. We tell you which one yours is at the quote.
There is no pet surcharge. Shedding adds vacuuming time, and time is what the price is made of.
Only if the home is materially different from what was described. We tell you before we start, never after we finish.
No. Recurring cleaning is a schedule, not a contract, and you can change or stop it by telling us.
