Post Construction Cleaning in Framingham, MA, Done in Passes

Built on Trust. Defined by Excellence.

Post construction cleaning is not a regular clean done twice. Construction dust is finer than household dust, it keeps settling for days after the work stops, and it comes back on every surface you already wiped. Pro Strong handles construction cleaning and renovation cleaning in Framingham, MA and across MetroWest in ordered passes rather than one sweep: ceilings, trim, vents and light fixtures first, then walls, cabinet interiors and fixtures, then floors last, because anything done out of order gets undone. We also remove paint spots, adhesive and caulk residue, sticker glue from new windows and appliances, and the debris that collects in corners and closets. Renovation, addition or a finished basement, the goal is the same: a space ready to live in, not ready to be cleaned again. The estimate is free.

Why the Order of the Passes Decides the Result

1
Top down, dry Ceilings, crown and trim, door frames, vents, light fixtures and the tops of cabinets. All of it releases dust downward, which is why nothing below is touched yet.
2
Middle, wet Walls spot cleaned, cabinet and drawer interiors, counters, windows and sills, fixtures, switch plates, and the removal of paint spots, adhesive and sticker residue.
3
Floors, last and twice Vacuumed with a filter that holds fine dust, then damp cleaned. Twice, because the first pass lifts what the first two stages released and the second gets what settled while we worked.

A single sweep in the wrong order leaves a film that shows up in the first week of sunlight, and the homeowner is the one who finds it.

What Construction Cleaning Removes That a Regular Clean Does Not

Fine drywall and sanding dust on every horizontal surface, including the tops of doors and inside vents.

Paint spots and overspray on glass, hardware, fixtures and floors.

Adhesive, caulk residue and the sticker glue left on new windows, appliances and fixtures.

Debris in corners, closets, cabinet bottoms and the tracks of new windows and doors.

When to Book Renovation Cleaning

Post construction cleaning comes after the contractor's own rough clean, not instead of it. Trades remove their material; they do not remove fine dust.

Before flooring is sealed or furniture returns, so nothing gets trapped under either.

If the project ran in phases, book after each phase that generated dust rather than once at the end. A kitchen finished in August and a bathroom finished in October are two jobs, not one.

A Finished Basement, an Addition or a Single Room

A finished basement is the hardest of the three, because the dust has nowhere to go and the space is usually closed. It gets the longest floor stage.

An addition adds the transition to the existing house, where dust travels through the doorway and settles in rooms nobody worked in.

A single room is the quickest, but still runs the three passes. The order does not change because the job is smaller.

What We Do Not Handle

Removing construction debris, lumber, packaging or anything that needs a dumpster. That is the contractor's scope or a junk removal service.

Carpet shampooing, which we do not offer. Repairs, touch-up paint and caulking. Anything involving lead paint or asbestos, which requires a licensed abatement contractor and is not our work.

Frequently Asked Questions

How soon after construction should the cleaning happen?

After the trades are out and their own debris is removed. Booking it while work is still happening means paying to clean a room that will be dusty again by Friday.

Do you clean during the project or only at the end?

Both. Phased projects are usually cleaned after each dusty phase, which keeps the rest of the house livable.

Do you remove the contractor's debris?

No. We remove dust, residue and small debris in corners and cabinets. Material removal belongs to the contractor or to a junk removal service.

Is one visit enough?

For most single-room projects, yes. Whole-home renovations sometimes need a return visit a week later, because fine dust keeps settling. We tell you at the quote if we expect that.

Do you handle lead paint or asbestos?

No. Those require a licensed abatement contractor. If the home was built before 1978 and the project disturbed paint, that work happens before we come in.
